WHAT HE SAID

Operation Epic Fury is a defensive action using overwhelming force to protect the American people from an imminent and growing threat. The next day he voted against the War Powers resolution to end the unauthorized war.

WHAT THE RECORD SHOWS

Trump had spent the previous eight months saying Iran's nuclear program was obliterated. A 2025 federal assessment found Iran years away from missiles that could reach the U.S. Both can't be true — and Huizenga repeated the version that justified the war.
